Professor Lei Zhang is spending the 2007-08 academic year as a W. Glenn Campbell and Rita Ricardo-Campbell National Fellow at the Hoover Institution of Stanford University. She will devote her time to research on the impact of welfare reform on the academic achievement of children and adolescents in low-income families. Professor Zhang is the fifth member of the Walker Department to receive this prestigious fellowship, which is awarded annually to fewer than ten young economists from a worldwide pool of applicants.
