Clemson Gets Hot in International Economics Jun 12, 2013

The Journal of International Economics, widely regarded as the best in its fiield, recently posted a list of the Top 25 Hottest Articles that published in the journal, and downloaded in the first quarter of 2013. Clemson Economics Professor Scott Baier is the co-author of 4 of the top 25 articles. All of these articles were written with Scott's frequent collaborator Jeff Bergstrand of the University of Notre Dame. The "hot" articles range from their 2001 analysis of the factors behind the growth in world trade, to their 2009 paper on estimating the impact of free trade agreements. Here's a link to the Top 25 list, which includes papers from many well-known trade economists, including two from a certain Nobel Laureate. Professor Baier's papers are numbers 4, 16, 23, and 25 on the list.
